Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP)Valley School was one of the first in Franklin to Introduce PMP as we saw the huge benefits it would have for our pupils. PMP is aimed at developing the brain's motor skills and enhancing children's learning. The programme is targeted at out junior pupils, with older pupils taking part on a needs basis. PMP has five major parts: Eye Tracking Balance Eye-hand coordination Locomotion Fitness This is a vitally important programme as more and more children arrive at school without the physical development skills that Kiwi kids used to have. The PMP programme was funded by our PTA who continue to support it through purchasing new equipment and resources. We have a specialist Ancillary Teacher to run the programme but are also dependent on parent volunteers to help. It is not hard but it is fun and enjoyable so if you can spare some time on any afternoon Monday-Thursd-day then please let us know. Volunteers needed now!!!
